Daily Schedule

DAILY SCHEDULE COURSE DESCRIPTION

The schedule below reflects a sample of what a weekday looks like in the life of a Cross Creek Student. The schedule is shown as A and B day. We have what is known as a block schedule. The block schedule allows for the student to be in a class for a longer period of time. The purpose of this is to get through more of their chapter without interruption.

Review Meeting is time spent with students' family representative.  It is a time to work together as a group on issues presenting themselves that are not therapy issues. They receive their mail and have time to discuss any concerns they are experiencing.

Fitness is a time for physical activity; walking, basketball, and running to name a few.

Group Therapy is the time set aside for the group to meet with their licensed therapist and work on emotional issues.

Ms Terissa and Mr. Travis always there for the kids. Reading allows for the student to keep up with their reading skills. They are only allowed to read factual material or self help books.

Writing is a time to be able to write in journals or write letters home.

A relaxing game of cards. Leisure is time for the students to talk, read, or just sit in the sun and relax. This is held outside weather permitting.

Cleaning gives the student a chance to learn this skill and take pride in their living environment.

Educational Videos increase a students knowledge in science and history through the use of National Geographic, Public Broadcast System, and specials from ABC or CBS News.

Emotional Growth; by the use of audio and video students listen or watch educational and motivational speakers. Examples include Alternative to Violence, Price Tag of Sex, The Power of Choice, Teen’s Guide to improving self esteem, etc.

Reflections is a time to write about the student's day. They write about what they learned that day and review of the Emotional Growth they receive that day.

hour per week for individual therapy.
